Now the district collector of vellore is C. RAJENDRAN I.A.S ......then the mayor is KARTHI............

sepoy mutiny held in vellore at 1806.In tamilnadu vellore is very hot place maximum 39.5 degree centigrade.Muslim's also very high in the vellore district so many muslim institutions also there.

Near vellore busstand palar river are there....so many leather industry in ambur,vaniambadi and vellore district.

There are 11 Engineering Colleges & 21 Arts and Science Colleges.
